Isabel Tehan, a 2022 graduate of the Boston University master’s program in journalism and former intern at the Philadelphia Business Journal, has been hired by Worcester Business Journal as its newest staff writer.
A story on its website states, “Tehan, who speaks Spanish proficiently, will lead WBJ’s coverage in two of its primary industry beats: diversity & inclusion, and health care. Her first day at WBJ was Dec. 27.
“‘Isabel has already jumped right in with both feet, having written stories on expanding abortion access, nursing programs at local colleges, and a company selling defective healthcare equipment,’ WBJ Editor Brad Kane said. ‘We’re very excited to have her lead coverage of key Central Massachusetts industries.’
“Tehan received her bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, where she wrote for the campus newspaper, The Spire. During her time there, she worked as a research assistant for the Digital Transgender Archive. Her undergraduate studies included a semester studying abroad at Universitat de les Illes Balears in Spain.”
