on Wednesday reported an operational disruption that led to excessive gas emissions at its oil refinery in Texas City, Texas.
“Process upsets in Complex 3 and Complex 4,” the refinery said in a statement to the Texas Commision on Environmental Quality. It said the above-normal emissions began Tuesday night and ended Wednesday afternoon, lasting about 16 hours.
“Units have resumed normal operation,” the refinery said.
The 260,000-barrel-a-day Texas City refinery is located southeast of Houston. It processes crude oils into gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
