Tech news site The Information has hired Jon Victor to cover Alphabet, the parent company of Google.
He will be based in San Francisco and start in October.
Victor currently covers fintech, banking and payments, including public companies like Lightspeed and Nuvei, for The Logic. His beat encompasses how Canada’s financial institutions are innovating, the emergence of new players in the space and the shaping of the rules that govern the country’s financial sector.
He was previously a business reporter for The Canadian Press, and before that covered cryptocurrency for The Information.
