Sean McCrory has been named the next editor in chief of Orlando Business Journal, reports Richard Bilbao, a senior staff writer.
Bilbao reports, “McCrory, a 30-year veteran in the journalism industry, currently is the executive editor of the Denton Record-Chronicle in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a position he has held for four-plus years. He will step into the role on Jan. 23, 2023, succeeding retiring OBJ Editor Cindy Barth, who has been with the company for 30 years and served as editor for 16 years.
“McCrory is no stranger to the Sunshine State. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida and was an adjunct lecturer for several years. He also served in editor positions at The Gainesville Sun and Florida Times-Union.”
