LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / October 20, 2022 / A highly successful partnership between Broadcast Management Group (BMG) and the Henderson Silver Knights is entering its third year of coverage for the American Hockey League team. All 12 games will use BMG’s Remote Integration Model – or REMI – workflow. The games will be aired on the CW Las Vegas and MY LVTV, part of the Sinclair Broadcast Group. The Silver Knights are the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights.
Games for the October to April season will be played and aired exclusively from The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, NV. But the REMI style workflow allows for staff to be throughout the U.S.
Often the producer will be in Arizona, director in Oklahoma while the graphics and scorebug operators and transmission engineer will be in Chicago. Audio engineer and replay operator will be located at BMG’s New York facility while the technical director and the engineer in charge will be at BMG’s REMI Broadcast Hub in Las Vegas. Arena staff will include five camera operators, a video engineer, audio assistant, engineer in charge, tech manager and utilities. Announcers are on site as well, calling the game from the broadcast booth at center ice along with a host who is positioned on the upper level and at the interview spot on the home bench.
“Just as technology like what BMG is pioneering is pushing the pace of sports television, so has the Silver Knights ownership group elevated the way the game is presented, trusting us to put on a top-notch broadcast” says BMG Executive Producer Graham Taylor. The Henderson Silver Knights believe the partnership is mutually beneficial. “We appreciate the innovative work Broadcast Management Group does to bring our games to Henderson Silver Knights fans and are excited to extend our partnership. We have high standards for everything we do and believe that BMG’s broadcasts are among the best in the AHL” says Chase Jolesch, Chief Operating Officer of the Henderson Silver Knights.
Broadcast Management Group is a leader in using the REMI model to cover sporting events nationwide. “The advancement in this technology is changing the way networks cover sports. It allows for flexibility and cost savings. Gone are the days where you must fly an entire crew to a location, taking up lots of time and money” says Todd Mason President and CEO, Broadcast Management Group.
