The Albuquerque Business First has hired Will Martinez to be its publisher.

Editor in chief Meagan Nichols writes, “A native of New Mexico, Martinez started with Business First in 2018 as an account executive and was later promoted to sales manager. He has worked in a corporate role as a sales development director for Business First’s parent company, American City Business Journals, since December 2021. Martinez replaces Keith Dennis who became the publisher of the Denver Business Journal on Jan. 1.

“‘It is extremely humbling to be the first native New Mexican in over a decade to hold the role of Publisher at ABF,’ Martinez said. ‘I am honored to work alongside each of you, once again, in the business community as we continue to make our state the ideal place to work and live. The staff at ABF is as strong as ever, and I believe that we are primed to continue to fulfill our mission of assisting each of you in growing your business, advancing your career and simplifying your professional life.’

“Martinez earned an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of New Mexico, as well as an MBA from UNM’s Anderson School of Management.”
